Rapid Recovery Breast Augmentation
Dr. Brooks specializes in breast and body contouring procedures and uses the 24 hour/rapid recovery approach to breast augmentation. This precise technique reduces tissue trauma, bleeding, swelling, bruising & post surgical discomfort, allowing many patients to use Tylenol or Advil rather than narcotics during their recovery. There are no drains or specialized bras needed after surgery. At our initial consultation, we carefully map out individual breast augmentation plans for each patient, depending on their goals and specific breast and body shape and size. Rapid recovery breast augmentation enhances the size and shape of the breasts with just one day of downtime for our patients from Hartford, Connecticut, Springfield and Northampton, Massachusetts, and surrounding areas.

Your Improvements
During rapid recovery breast augmentation, Dr. Glen Brooks will use saline or silicone implants to:
- Increase your breast size
- Add fullness to the breasts
- Reshape your breasts
- Improve asymmetry
- Improve balance/proportions
- Restore lost volume
Dr. Brooks will create an incision strategically in the breast crease so your breast augmentation scar will be barely visible.
Good Candidates for Rapid Recovery Breast Augmentation
A good candidate for this procedure is anyone who wants to enhance the appearance of their breasts and meets the following criteria.
- In overall good health with no serious medical conditions
- Have realistic expectations about their results
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
Dr. Brooks will discuss your goals during your consultation and evaluate your health. Breast augmentation can only improve the size and shape of your breasts. If you have moderate to severe sagging due to aging, pregnancy, or breastfeeding, he may recommend a breast lift instead of or in addition to augmentation.

Recovery
Dr. Brooks uses advanced surgical techniques during rapid recovery breast augmentation, also known as 24-hour breast augmentation. These techniques reduce trauma to the breast tissue, limit bleeding during surgery, and reduce swelling after surgery so you can enjoy easier post-op movement and quicker recovery.
Within 24 hours – You can shower, raise your arms above your head, and wear a comfortable bra (no surgical drains or special bra needed).
Within 1 to 2 days – You may return to desk work, lift up to 20 pounds and spend time with friends.
Within 2 weeks – You can resume light workouts
Within 6 weeks – You can resume your usual workouts.
Results
While your breasts will look larger immediately after surgery, it will take 3 to 4 months for your breast implants to settle into place. As your implants drop and settle, your breasts will begin to feel softer and look more naturally positioned.
